 Health Surveillance

Occupational Health Surveillance enables Absencecare to:

  • Assess the employees' fitness for work,
  • Monitor their health at work,
  • Assist with identification of potential health problems before they become chronic,
  • Check the effectiveness of current control measures,
  • Provide feedback to the organisation and
  • Identify and protect the health of individuals at increased risk.

The tests or examinations required for Health Surveillance will be dependent on the health risks identified within the particular occupation, and will be completed by fully qualified and experienced Occupational Health professionals.

If problems are identified, referral for further assessment will be made, as appropriate, to our Occupational Health Physicians and Advisors or to the individual's General Practitioner.

Occupational Health Audit

Absencecare’s Consultants can undertake a detailed audit of your existing and future Occupational Health provision to ensure that you meet current legal requirements and protect your employees from any work-related illness. Audits can also incorporate the requirements of Civil Liability Insurers and assist with overall Risk Management.

The Consultants are also available to provide more general advice relating to the health and safety of your workforce. In addition, where there is no service provision, an audit can also be undertaken to establish and prioritise requirements.

Stress Management, Counselling and Auditing

Today stress is one of the most common reasons for absence from work for non-manual workers. We can offer stress-counselling programs for the individual and stress management workshop groups. We can also provide stress auditing which identifies the causes of stress in the work place.
